Renting

The Anwelt Heritage Apartments are designed for seniors aged 55 and up.

The 86 senior residences consist of 64 one-bedroom and 22 two-bedroom apartments ranging in size from 656-1200 square feet. All public spaces are wheelchair-accessible, and several apartments have been built out with additional features to increase the comfort and ease-of-use for residents with mobility restrictions. Two apartments also offer additional safety features for the hearing-impaired.

Visit Information

We offer tours on site by appointment and during our office hours Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. PBV subsidies, MRVP, or Section 8 voucher holders are encouraged to apply. Qualified applicants will be required to meet income limits according to household size (as listed below) and Low Income Housing Tax Credit program guidelines. Apartments are affordable and at mixed income levels. No broker or application fees.

Income Restrictions

The apartments are income-restricted, as follows:

Of the 86 apartments, 16 are rented a market rate, 60 are rented at or below 60% of the area median income and 10 are rented at or below 30% of the area median. The monthly rent on income-restricted apartments includes a utility allowance.

Households must be income-qualified according to the following income limits.  These limits are subject to change annually based on all applicable LIHTC program guidelines.

We are happy to discuss adding you to the wait list for rent brackets that are currently full. We are happy to add you to a wait list for future consideration as well.

The monthly rent includes hot water, water, rubbish removal, and use of an unassigned parking space. Residents pay their own electricity, including the electricity to run the heat pump/air conditioning units. The geothermal exchange system is anticipated to provide savings over the utility costs of a conventional (fossil fuel) system.
